New Mexico offers some of the best Antelope hunting in the Southwest, and we offer guided hunts throughout Southern New Mexico on both public and private lands.
Archery Antelope season takes place August 19th – 27th and methods will consist of spot and stalk and sitting water holes in a ground blind. During the archery hunt, you will find some bucks with does and the bucks are also found by themselves. Archery hunts will consist of any 5 days of the hunt period unless other arrangements have been made.
Rifle Antelope season takes place October 7th – 9th. Hunters drawn for public hunts marked with an asterisk (*) are assigned to hunt on a specific ranch. For private-land hunts the hunter may choose any three consecutive days starting October 7th – 22nd.
New Mexico does not offer many opportunities for Muzzleloader Antelope. The units that offer muzzleloader hunts are: Unit 28 (McGregor Range) September 2nd – 3rd, unit 29 taking place October 21st – 24th, and Units 50 and 52 with hunt dates of August 19th – 22nd. Units 29, 50 and 52 are unit-wide. All licenses issued for these units are valid on participating ranches with signed NMDGF hunting agreements and on any legally accessible public lands within the unit(s) for which the license is issued.
All hunts are subject to NM State Tax (6.875%). A 50% deposit is required upon drawing a tag.
A 50% deposit is required to book landowner tags and private land tags. All deposits are non-refundable.
