Our guided Ibex hunts take place in the Florida Mountains of southwest New Mexico. Due to the terrain the Ibex call home this is not what you would call an easy hunt.  The Florida Mountains are steep and rugged, so being in the best physical shape you can be in before your hunt will make the hunt more enjoyable. No matter your weapon of choice, being able to shoot long distances at extreme angles will only increase your chances to harvest an Ibex.

There are three rifle hunts for Ibex. The first is the Once in a Lifetime (OIL) Rifle hunt and hunt dates are November 15th – 29th. The second is the Youth only hunt with dates of December 27th – January 10th. The third rifle hunt is the Female Immature (F-IM) and the hunt dates are February 15th – March 1st. There is a 5th choice population management hunt for (F-IM) population reduction hunt and individuals will be selected from the 5th choice applicants. Hunters may choose any 5 consecutive days within the hunt period unless other arrangements have been made.

Two Archery hunts are offered for Ibex, with the first being October 1st – 15th and the second January 15th – 29th. Archery hunts are the most difficult means of harvesting an Ibex, so being proficient out to at least 100 yards is recommended. Hunters may choose any 5 consecutive days within the hunt period unless other arrangements have been made.

The Muzzleloader Ibex hunt dates for Ibex are October 6th – 20th. Hunters may choose any 5 consecutive days within the hunt period unless other arrangements have been made.

All hunts are subject to NM State Tax (6.875%). A 50% deposit is required upon drawing a tag. 
A 50% deposit is required to book landowner tags and private land tags. All deposits are non-refundable.
